Apple Day has always been an important date in the orchard’s calendar. It’s the day we invite the local community to celebrate the humble apple in early October. There’s apple tasting, fresh juice to sample and buy, apple cakes and wonderful homemade preserves.
Hugely popular are the old-fashioned games like the longest peel, conker conquest, maggot in the apple and treasure hunts.
The number of people who come along has grown and grown. We now anticipate over 400 people every year.
