Planted in 2002 this variety is also know as Reine de Reinettes, Golden Winter Pearmain or Prince’s Pippin. Origin is thought to be in France in the 17the century, possibly earlier. This is a multi-purpose apple, used for cider, cooking and is also a good dessert apple. It flavour is sharp and sweet which is rich and tangy. It is an oblong shape with red stripes over orange/gold flush. It matures in late September to early October and in the right conditions keeps till February.
