Planted on the arch in 2012 this tree’s origin is unknown. It was grafted from the parent tree in the garden of Jo Malden, a founder Wolvercote Tree Group member. This dessert apple has a conical shape with light crimson stripes on a pale green background. It matures in early October and has a crisp white flesh with a slightly sharp flavour of some depth, rather like a Cox Orange Pippin. It stores well into winter in the right conditions.
