Planted in the orchard around 2006 this variety originated from Norwich and was introduced by G. Lindley in 1821. The fruit has yellowish skin with oranges tinges, red streaks and occasional russeting. It is a dual-purpose apple with white, juicy, tangy flesh and a rich flavour that keeps its shape when cooked. The fruit matures around mid-October and stores well in the right conditions till January or February.
